Wear White on Wednesday for World Peace |
How did W4P get started?
In 2002-2003 I was appalled at the events in Afghanistan and Iraq where people were taken hostage and having their heads removed while they were still alive.
I thought to myself what a truly disgusting thing for any human being to do to another in the world today. I thought about what else was happening around the world and I decided enough was enough, I have to do something.
I thought to myself “What can I do to help bring about Peace in the World?”
About an hour had passed while working one evening and I had the thought of “Wearing Something White on Wednesday for World Peace” and being at peace in each moment during the day, to be mindful and present with everyone I had contact with e.g. my friends, my family, my work colleagues anyone. It was simple. I could put something white on be at peace in the moments and with everyone of the day and go about my daily life which would not interrupt the lives of others like some demonstrations of the past.
Every Wednesday I could put on a white shirt or shoes or wristband - anything and be peaceful in each moment and I’d be doing my part. I decided to make up a card to hand it out to others inviting them to wear white on Wednesday’s for World Peace. If I could introduce my idea to others and in turn they thought to themselves “I could do that” soon many others would be wearing white and being peaceful on Wednesday’s too.
When on Wednesday’s we see people of the world wearing something white and being peaceful we know we have begun a period in which all of Humanity is working together in the now and for future.
We would rid the Earth of Famine, War and Intolerance;
Bring Abundance, Education and Healthcare to all;
Advance in the frontiers of Medicine and Science;
Discover and deliver clean efficient Energy for a healthy lasting environment and eliminate Disease;
Have tolerance and understanding of all cultures and people.
As it is “One Culture of Humanity” existing together on one planet which we all call Home.
